Best Responses To “What’s a Scam That People Think Isn’t A Scam”

Nobody likes getting scammed, but it’s impossible to always be able to discern what’s a scam and what’s not. Products, services, investment schemes, organizations, etc. that seem legit today might turn out to be scams later on, and despite the efforts of the government and law enforcement agencies, it is impossible to keep a tab on the new kinds of scams that keep emerging every day. When a particular scheme gets busted, other types of scams take its place. According to the FDA, some of the most common types of scams are; phone call scams, email scams, computer/technical support scams, fake checks, IRS scams, prizes and grant scams, sweepstake scams, etc. But besides the common scams we hear of, there are many kinds of scams people encounter in their everyday lives that they never pay attention to, and many of those scams are legal even though they are technically scams. On that topic, Reddit user jwa8808 recently asked a question in the Askreddit forum where he asked people to share some “Scams That Many People Think Aren’t Scams” The replies surprised us and opened our eyes too.
