When it comes to bad food, it’s the British who get the rap, and many Americans join in the dissing without realizing that many people around the world consider American food to be bad too. People think British food is lacking in variety and spices, but variety and spices alone don’t make good food, and that is one criticism people have about American food. There is good food in America, but it is costly and not affordable for the majority of Americans. On the other hand, mass-market American food has variety, but oftentimes it is not healthy: highly processed with high amounts of sugar, food additives, unhealthy fats, and sloppy pairing of different food items that people in other countries would find abhorrent.
