While summarizing the entire plot of a 1-2 hour long movie in a few sentences can be difficult, one call still make a fairly accurate guess about how the plot will unfold if one manages to grasp the central theme around which whole plot is built. Every Romcom movies will have similar elements between them, so will every superhero, buddy cop etc. type of movies because commercial movie directors and producers tend to work within a set of tried and tested method and plotlines that they think will help them sell the movie to the public.
